Ramp Rocket

Launching a J/24 the hard way.

Image

From just below the landing spot.  The boat slid off the back of the trailer
and then skidded down the ramp about 20-30 feet or so.

From atop the hill overlooking the ramp.  Hmmm what should we do?

Let's at least save what's left of the rudder!!!!

And lets give her a push...

Image

The view as she is launched by pushing her down the ramp.  Notice Kurt Carson holding the spinnaker halyard to keep the keel from digging in too early!!  The boat suffered a little damage to the bottom of the keel, back corner of the rudder, and some scratches (kinda like 16 grit) down to bare glass on a very small portion of the starboard side.

She participated in the regatta and was very competitive.  Just think how she will do when Bill and Harald get her back to tip top shape.
